[Powerful leads + ex-husband’s groveling + everyone’s darling + secret identities]
The irreverent version: At first, the male lead is an aloof, untouchable flower who looks down on the female lead. His cheating with a mistress is all a misunderstanding. Later, he turns into her biggest fan and refuses to leave no matter how many times she tries to chase him off.
After getting over her love-brain, the female lead throws herself into her career. Doted on by her seven older brothers, she rises to the top, becoming a top-tier star while her businesses keep growing.
The serious version
After working herself unconscious and ending up in the hospital, she accidentally catches her husband of many years cheating with his mistress.
Shen Mei has spent three years slaving away for the Ling family. It takes her less than a second to decide: divorce.
Everyone in the capital thinks that without Ling Jingyue, Shen Mei, a country girl who rose to the top on her looks alone, will fall back into the dirt. They all want to trample on her.
Then a thunderous crash splits the sky, and seven handsome men make a dazzling entrance.
Haicheng’s richest man: “It’s dawn. The family that bullied my little sister can disappear now.”
Military big shot: “Someone my little sister dislikes? Court-martial them!”
Miracle doctor with ghostly hands: “You made my little sister feel down? Sorry, your cold is now terminal.”
Top hacker: “You dare upset my little sister? How many firewalls can your company’s system handle?”
Entertainment industry’s top-tier star: “Anyone who offends my little sister is doing something wrong just by breathing in show business.”
…
After quickly curing her love-brain, Shen Mei is welcomed back in style by her seven brothers and pampered as the little princess of Shanghai’s elite. She enters the entertainment industry, starts a fashion company, and sees her career soar.
An award-winning actor, the richest man, and even a foreign prince: handsome young men from every walk of life pursue her relentlessly!
The usually unflappable Young Master Ling finally panics and pulls out every trick to beg her to remarry him: “I was too young to know how wonderful my wife was. I mistook my career for my greatest treasure. I beg you to forgive me.”
Shen Mei wears a red designer gown, her features alluring.
“Sorry, I have nothing to say to my ex-husband.”
