This book is very comprehensive in content and rich in pictures, which gave me a more systematic understanding of Chinese history. Especially the legal system and punishment part gave me a deep understanding of the rigor of ancient society. But I hate those cruel punishments the most, they are so inhumane. After becoming a mother, I feel that every life should be respected. All in all, this is a great book worth reading!
