You’re the affliction in my heart that I can’t let go of, yet can never forget. From my youth until old age, it will always be so.
“Affliction”
When his back injury flares up while filming, movie star Xiao Han ends up in the hospital where his junior fellow student Ye Shaobai is doing his internship. Xiao Han has been in love with Ye Shaobai for ten years, and he never expected to discover that Ye Shaobai feels the same way. But both are too timid to speak of their unconventional love.
Taking advantage of his position as a doctor, Ye Shaobai becomes Xiao Han’s private caregiver. The two confess their feelings, and Ye Shaobai is also lucky enough to land the male second lead in a film by a popular director. Just as he’s celebrating having achieved his childhood dream and finally being able to stay by someone’s side, he discovers that the lover who once showered him with sweet words has betrayed him.
