The Plaything Awakens

[Transmigration + one-on-one romance, both leads are inexperienced + innocent, absent-minded, vulnerable heroine + possessive, domineering, devoted hero] A rookie psychologist from the 21st century is hacked to death by a psychiatric patient, then transmigrates to ancient times into the body of a woman with the same name, where she encounters a possessive prince. The most powerful man in the city was humiliated by her original parents when he was down on his luck. Now he intends to make their daughter pay back every last bit of that debt! He looks down at her as he makes a generous offer: “I’ll let you into my household as a concubine.” She doesn’t want that? “Then how about becoming my secondary consort?” That won’t do either? The prince turns to her with a pleading look: “Please, be my princess consort!” The man goes to great lengths to bring her into his household with a respectable title, all the while keeping a constant watch in case she tries to escape. Every day, he wishes he could chain her to his side! Until one day, her real family arrives! A mother with power and influence, a father richer than a kingdom, and a brother who is bold and formidable. Surely this is her chance to turn the tables and trample that man beneath her feet!! But then again, this utterly useless woman is pinned against the wall in the dark of night by the man who has returned victorious from battle. He whispers hoarsely: “They’re all outside. Go ahead and shout as loud as you like.”
