Anti-Japanese espionage, with history at its core and artistic embellishments; scheming, intrigue, and deception; the cruel reality of war
On November 12, 1937, the Battle of Shanghai ended, and the Japanese invaders' iron hooves began trampling every inch of Shanghai.
Gu Jueyuan, then deputy chief of the Shanghai Police Department, personally shot and killed Ye Yuntian, the police chief who had refused to surrender even at the cost of his life. This earned Gu the approval of the Japanese invaders. He took over as chief of the Shanghai Police Department and became a notorious traitor.
On December 8, 1941, the Pacific War broke out. The Japanese invaders in Shanghai entered the foreign concessions formerly controlled by Britain, France, the United States, and other nations, declaring Shanghai fully occupied.
But China's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression continued. On the front lines and behind enemy lines, in bloody bayonet charges and covert operations, every Chinese person filled with patriotic fervor kept fighting for the greater good of the nation.
Told from the perspective of Gu Yue, the son of the notorious traitor Gu Jueyuan, this novel recounts the stories of the pioneers who fought on Shanghai's covert front beneath the invaders' iron hooves.
This story is entirely fictional. Real historical figures may be mentioned in the book, such as the Japanese invaders and Chinese collaborators, to establish the background and setting. Their actions in the book may not fully match historical fact, but the invaders are still invaders, and the collaborators are still collaborators.
I'm still writing a book with several million words that no one has read. I haven't read it yet, so I don't know what to do.
