My Mother Rules the Court, but I'm a Fake Prince

The Great Xia Dynasty has stood for more than eighteen thousand years.

The old emperor is obsessed with cultivating immortality and neglects state affairs. The empress died suddenly fifteen years ago, and Consort Qian now controls the entire court.

When Xu Qian wakes up, he discovers he has become the only son of a thoroughly villainous family, born with impeccable credentials.

The throne is practically his for the taking.

“Wait, isn’t this the world of the novel I just finished catching up on?”

“The throne? I didn’t even live to see the ending. Consort Qian is the real final boss!”

To stay alive, Xu Qian changes his ways and sets out to become a true villain.

Fine clothes, good food, and partying every night while waiting to get humiliated and killed? Wrong!

He should reflect on himself, work hard, use every resource at his disposal to eliminate anyone who could threaten him, and wait until he takes the throne.

Once everything is in place, Xu Qian discovers to his horror that he isn’t really a prince at all. He is merely a pawn Consort Qian planted by switching him with another child, so she could use him.

The one Consort Qian truly cares about has never been him, but her biological daughter, sent out of the palace to be raised in secret.

Just when I’m about to succeed, I turn out to be a discarded pawn?

No wonder I didn’t make it to the end of the novel.

“Mother, if you’re going to treat me this way, don’t blame me for being unfilial!”

“I’ll gladly take that daughter of yours, the one who inherited your beauty so perfectly. Heh heh heh!”
