Sea of Stars: Twin Stars

[Space opera]+ [Religion]+ [Dual female leads] (There is no romance; I got the tags wrong... It’s my first time using Tomato, and I was careless.)

The story takes place in the 23rd century, when humanity has stepped onto the grand stage of the Milky Way and begun trading and exchanging cultures with many alien civilizations. A sudden disaster leaves humanity brutally colonized. The protagonist, Ou Jia, was born and raised on a planet called Qibo. There, she finds an abandoned baby suffering from an illness and names her Lei Ma. The two struggle to survive in extremely harsh conditions, waiting for hope to arrive. The beginning may be a little hard to follow, since besides the Twin Stars arc, there’s also a prequel and a parallel storyline set around the same time that I haven’t written yet. I’ll update them gradually later. Note: The story contains a lot of religious themes, so the values in the novel are rather conservative.
