"Chen Shu", one of the Twenty-Four Histories, was written by Yao Silian in the Tang Dynasty. It is a chronicle and chronological history of Chen in the Southern Dynasty. It records the historical facts of the thirty-three years from the accession of Chen Baxian, Emperor Wu of Chen, to the fall of Chen Shubao, the empress of Chen. "Chen Shu" has a total of thirty-six volumes, including six volumes of chronicles and thirty volumes of biographies. There is no chronicle. It was written in the tenth year of Zhenguan (636). The feudal regime of the Chen Dynasty only existed for thirty-three years and made no special achievements in politics, economy, and culture. This may be related to this. The content of "Chen Shu" is not as substantial as that of "Liang Shu", and the chronicles and biographies are too brief.
