A Different Xu Damao in the Siheyuan

The protagonist of a courtyard drama should be Xu Damao. When he was young, he married Lou Xiaoe, a rich family's sweet and naive daughter. While traveling to the countryside to screen films, he even had a young widow throw herself at him. After his divorce, he immediately took Qin Jingru off someone else's hands, and he also hid out in a small storeroom with Qin Huairu. He never had to worry about food or money, and his inability to have children meant he could fool around without getting into trouble. He did business and served as a cadre, too. In the end, the courtyard residents forgave him, he learned to cook, and he had a place to spend his old age. Now that's a protagonist.
