The characters in the book are all very vivid, especially the clerk Jing Lingfu. Although he is just a handyman, I feel that there must be many stories about him. This reminds me of the Caterpillar in "In the Name of the People", who is also a small character but plays a key role. However, this book is not the same as "In the Name of the People".
