After We Broke Up, My Childhood Friend Regretted It

Ten years ago, my childhood sweetheart and I promised to attend the same university.

We'd start dating in our first year, get married after graduation, and become the brilliant couple everyone envied.

In the ninth year of our promise, she fell madly in love with a delinquent.

For him, she drank herself into a stupor, hurt herself, ran away to get an abortion, and recklessly squandered her youth.

Their wild behavior was like that of fearless warriors rebelling against oppression.

Meanwhile, I studied as hard as I could and became the bookworm they both looked down on.

After the college entrance exams, I was admitted to the country's top university, and everyone admired me.

But my childhood sweetheart wept and begged, “Brother, don't you want your bride anymore?”
