Good book, not the Holy Mother

I rarely comment and I don't know why the rating is so low. It's 20 years old and this book is really well written. I give up after reading many books halfway through. This book kept pulling me to finish it. There is no brainless patchwork plot. The good guys and bad guys are very real.

It's well written, layer by layer, revealing the good and evil of human nature! As a girl, no matter when or who you face, you must protect yourself! There are many people in this society who have no bottom line and no morals. . . .
