The Baima tribe is an ancient, primitive and mysterious tribe with an original sacred culture. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, there was a "migrant wave" in rural areas. Young laborers piled onto fertile fields and went south to Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Guanghu, and west to Xinjiang and Qinghai to work. Baima Tibetans also went out to join the ranks of migrant workers.
Under the urging of time, the living habits of the Baima people have undergone great changes. This change has caused the Baima culture to gradually decline. Village life is no longer necessary, but a choice and a psychological retreat.
Has the once vibrant village become so depressed? The departure of young people makes the village lose its future, and the departure of children makes the village despair. What makes people even more hopeless is that today's women are unwilling to have children.
