Memories of the End (A Work by Yukito Ayatsuji)

The atmosphere and psychological description are really great. After reading it, I realized that it is actually a horror novel. Although it is different from the horror novel I imagined, I did feel that feeling when I actually entered the reading state, and the final ending was also very unexpected.

Especially the description of the mother, "My mother's skin is so fair and her hair is so black, but her body has blood the same color as the sunset." This sentence impressed me deeply. Moreover, I really like Hatano Sengo in the book. His love for his mother and his persistence in the truth moved me very much. However, I kind of hate the character Asai. I always feel that she is a bit mysterious and I wonder if she is hiding any secrets. Looking forward to the development of the story later!
