I Made a Promise with an Alien

Wang Shang, a middle-aged divorcee drowning in debt and an idle layabout, is occasionally inspired by tomb-raiding movies to fantasize about getting rich overnight by robbing ancient tombs. Instead, he is unexpectedly transformed by an alien civilization. After rescuing the son of a wealthy Huaguo businessman who was lured to Myanmar by a scam operation, he meets his Myanmar girlfriend, Duan Qing. He risks his life to help Huaguo and Duan Qing wipe out the scam syndicate, but his girlfriend is killed by mercenaries. From then on, Wang Shang embarks on a path of revenge and bringing glory to his country. Along the way, he encounters many formidable opponents transformed by the alien civilization. He expands across borders several times and continues to evolve under the influence of the alien civilization’s lingering consciousness. After defeating his powerful enemies, he becomes one of humanity’s strongest individuals. He then gathers his strength to give back to his homeland. With his support, the country unifies the global economy, and eventually establishes a relatively fair global alliance of nations governed by the rule of law. He also makes contact with a higher alien civilization, ultimately learning about material civilization, spiritual civilization, and creation civilization. He becomes humanity’s representative and makes immense contributions to humanity’s advancement to a higher level.
