Battle in Shanghai

This book is a comic book adapted from the classic movie "Battle of Shanghai". It mainly tells the story of the Third Field Army of the People's Liberation Army that surrounded Shanghai in 1949 and fought against the 300,000 Kuomintang troops entrenched in Shanghai. After our army advanced into the outskirts of Shanghai, we formulated a combat plan to not only liberate Shanghai but also protect the city. Taking advantage of the factional conflicts in Chiang Kai-shek's army, he first lured his direct troops out of the city and annihilated them in one fell swoop. Then, with the cooperation of the underground party, workers led the way into the city. The Kuomintang troops withdrew and defended the north bank of the Suzhou River. Our army fought bravely and crushed the enemy's stubborn resistance. Under the military pressure and political offensive of our army, the remaining Kuomintang army Liu Yi had to huddle in the city center and eventually surrendered.
