Back to Childhood: Rewriting My Life

Sun Zheng was middle-aged, and though he was hardly a career success, his wife was healthy and his family life was happy. The small company he had started with a friend was steadily growing, and while they weren't wealthy, they had enough to live comfortably. At a drinks gathering to negotiate with a new client, he drank from the afternoon through to the next morning to secure an order and become a designated supplier for a Fortune 500 company. He took a taxi home and, with his wife's care, fell asleep exhausted. In his sleep, thirsty and half-conscious, he mumbled, “Honey, get me some honey water. This booze is killing me.” After mumbling a few times, he heard footsteps approaching. At last, he would get a drink of water. Instead of honey water from his wife, he got a mighty slap across the face.

“Does my wife always hit me like this when I get drunk? I never remember once I've sobered up anyway,” he thought. He opened his mouth and said, “Are you crazy or what? I told you before I went out yesterday, and I came home just fine. Why are you freaking out now... Wait, do you hit me every time I get drunk?” His wife didn't answer. Then he heard the voices of a middle-aged couple.

“This brat's really getting out of hand. He's been drinking and chasing girls since he was a teenager...”

“That doesn't make sense. I can't smell any alcohol...” a man's voice suddenly said.

Damn, I've been cheated on...
