Preface
The long history of China has many evocative and touching stories. Since ancient times, it has been said: Ba will produce generals, and Shu will produce ministers. Bashan and Chongqing Rivers have created many heroes, including Ba Manzi during the Warring States Period, Gan Ning, Wang Ping, and Yan Yan during the Three Kingdoms Period, Yu Yunwen in the Song Dynasty, Qin Liangyu, the heroine in the Ming Dynasty, and even Liu Shuai in the contemporary era. They all took the word "loyalty" as their leader and left a splendid chapter.
As for Ba Manzi, I have wanted to write a biography of him for a long time. His self-sacrifice for his family and country is indeed commendable. Suffering from the serious lack of historical information about Ba, Xiaosheng visited libraries, museums, historical sites, etc., And only recorded a brief heroic story about him being a general of Ba during the Warring States Period and cutting off his head but not giving up the city. Finally, some relatively detailed records were found in "Huayang Guozhi".
Due to the serious lack of historical background, his specific era and event background have been blurred and cannot be verified. This novel can only be completed by making up fictional plots. It cannot be regarded as a historical story. At best, it is a legendary fabrication based on history.
