As mythology returns and the dead rise again, Xiao Ce possesses the body of a dying boy and is struck by divine punishment.
Facing the world-ending thunderbolts, Xiao Ce hurls a furious curse at the Heavenly Dao of this world: “You blind old fool, you should go to hell with me!”
The curse takes hold, and heaven and earth fall into chaos. The cursed objects chant in unison, surrounding the boy’s corpse as it faces the thunder. The divine masks of forgotten gods, along with ancient heretical deities whose names have been lost, come forth in response.
“Do you want to destroy this absurd world too? Then let us walk this road side by side,” the spirit in the mask whispers.
From then on, Xiao Ce, who cursed the Heavenly Dao, has three deities protecting him. But something seems a tiny bit off.
“Wait, why are the Heavenly Court’s three most rebellious troublemakers all being worshiped in the same temple? What have you been up to?”
