Where the Lone Goose Flies

After her mother dies and her father leaves to find work, never to be heard from again, young Chen Lin sets out alone to search for him. New to traveling far from home and too trusting, she nearly falls into a human trafficker’s trap. After escaping and going through one ordeal after another, she finally finds her father, only to be rejected by him. With nowhere else to turn, she takes a job at a restaurant, using her meager earnings to support her precarious family. Later, when she returns home, she is shocked to discover that her grandmother has died and her younger brother has vanished. She goes back to the city to search for him, but falls into an even deeper whirlpool: she is violated, held captive, and used as a bargaining chip in a deal.

This is a drug-trafficking gang that preys on ordinary people. To wipe out this cancer on society, she ventures into their lair and, after a series of clashes, finally brings the gang down.
