Seeking Joy

Chu Yuan, daughter of Deputy Commander Chu Xiaoheng, may have a name that sounds delicate, but she does whatever she pleases and fears nothing.

A free-spirited woman through and through, she was suddenly brought into the palace and shackled by its rules, right under the emperor's nose.

How could she put up with that?

She had no intention of competing for favor. But eight years ago, Fu Chengyu looked at her once, and she fell for him at first sight, willingly stepping into this palace struggle.

His love gradually made her let down her guard and drop her disguise, until she was willing to stay by his side.

But only after entering the palace did she discover how many secrets it held.

Now that she had taken the first step, Chu Yuan would never turn back.

She wanted more now.

“I'll climb to the top, one step at a time.”
