The synopsis isn't much to look at, but this story isn't mindless. There is no System, and the protagonist isn't a bleeding heart. After training, he kills decisively. The first few chapters are setup, and they're long and boring. Feel free to skip them if you don't like them; it won't make much difference. Everyday life in the early part, then high-octane excitement later on.
The story is mostly everyday life at first, with more battles in the middle and later parts.
The beginning mainly introduces the world. The exciting part comes later.
