(This is not the author’s autobiography. This is not the author’s autobiography. This is not the author’s autobiography.)
I have traveled to many places and seen many stories. The first one I want to tell is my own, a story shaped by fate.
Guided by a mysterious book courier, “I” arrive at a detached villa called “The House of the Knowing.” Under the strange rule that I am not allowed to leave, I spend six years translating obscure theological texts. Then an old detective friend, guided by the same book courier, comes to see me and asks me to investigate a bizarre string of murders...
That is how the story begins.
Perhaps most people believe the foundations of the universe to be as solid as truth itself. Perhaps many have gazed up at the stars and imagined what lies at the edge of the cosmos.
If truth is as fragile as foam, if life and death are farcical games, and we are no more than fish on a plate or lambs awaiting slaughter, would it be happier to remain untouched by the mysterious and fade away in ignorance?
Of course, if, and I mean if, could humanity really have even the tiniest chance, just the tiniest one, of beating Them once?
Just once. I’m not asking for much.
Lovecraftian mystery, gods and ghosts running wild. Keep your sanity as you step into madness.
This book is a slow burn, so feel free to let chapters pile up. Authentic Lovecraftian flavor, coming soon.
(Catgirls, tentacle girls, and others will be added in a later version.)
Well, I just saw such a thing as ratings today. Let me tell you about my own evaluation. Good at description, poor at dialogue, good at logic, bad at characters, the narration is too long, the development is too short, the plot is too fast, the update is too slow, the chapters are of different lengths, and the writing is uneven. Most people will be persuaded to quit in the first chapter... Probably, the author is somewhat self-aware and can change it, but it is not necessary. I am the one who wrote the book, and I am the one who wrote it. Of course, it is not an autobiography, just the words of a novelist. That's it. If you can continue reading, you can post a book review and tell your own story. Let me see what makes you continue reading this... If you can't continue reading, if you have any constructive suggestions other than the above, you are welcome to give them.
