"Magical Microorganisms" is developed and implemented based on the knowledge in the "Nutritional Methods of Organisms" section of junior high school biology textbooks. By studying this course, you can not only understand the relationship between magical microorganisms and humans, but also learn how to use beneficial microbial strains to make common fermented foods in life simply and quickly. It has been 6 years since our school started offering this course in 2011. In the beginning, there were only course handouts. In 2012, school-based textbooks circulated in the school were published. After several revisions and improvements, we have the relatively complete textbooks now presented to us. The significance of this course is to connect students' invisible and intangible microorganisms with real life, and to introduce the application of fermentation microorganisms in traditional biotechnology into extracurricular experimental exploration activities. Through simple experimental steps and intuitive experimental results, students can feel the charm of magical microorganisms first-hand, thereby increasing students' interest in learning and cultivating students' biological scientific literacy.
