Mo Rao was born into a family of military doctors. Her parents had risked their lives to save Fu Ying’s grandmother, so the latter forced Fu Ying to marry Mo Rao.
Mo Rao had always known that Fu Ying had a dream girl named Qu Ru. The girl had failed to marry Fu Ying because his grandmother had stopped them.
After they married, Fu Ying treated Mo Rao with great tenderness. They were even highly compatible, and Fu Ying was always deeply captivated by Mo Rao’s gentleness.
Until one day, Fu Ying said, “Qu Ru is back. Let’s get divorced. I’ll transfer the assets I promised you into your name.”
Mo Rao said, “Can’t we stay married? ... I’m pregnant...”
Fu Ying said coldly, “Get rid of it! I don’t want anything coming between Qu Ru and me. Besides, Qu Ru has leukemia, and your bone marrow happens to be a match for hers. If you’re willing to donate yours, I can promise you anything.”
Mo Rao said, “What if all I ask is that we don’t get divorced?” Fu Ying’s eyes turned cold.
“Mo Rao, don’t be so greedy.”
Her smile suddenly twisted. She was no longer the docile woman she used to be.
“Fu Ying, this is the first time you’ve ever turned me down like this. You say I’m greedy, but aren’t you just the same? You want me to divorce you so you can be with Qu Ru? Fine, I agree. But did you really think I’d save her?”
Then Mo Rao left. Fu Ying actually felt as if he were suffocating, and the feeling drove him mad.
When Mo Rao appeared again, she had become a dazzling star.
“Sorry, ex-husband. I was wrong back then. You were only a substitute. I was actually in love with someone else.”
