The more I write, the more I like Gardner. He is rich, handsome, tall, and dedicated. Although Belvedere was what I had in mind at first, I personally feel that Gardner's personality is more attractive. He is indeed very capable of turning the impossible into possible by achieving reversals on his own.
Looking back at the whole book, I feel that Belvedere is so pitiful. He is just an experimental subject created by a madman using a bunch of data. His genes were programmed before he was born, and he cannot control his emotions and resist his own destiny.
And if Mu Xuan had no accident, he should have thrived by his parents' side and become a general like his eldest brother, a top brain surgeon like his second brother, or an artist like the three. He did not have such achievements, and he could not grow up surrounded by love like his younger sister...
