As foretold by the fifty-ninth hexagram of the Tui Bei Tu, the world would one day unite and establish a new order. Two world wars had erupted, but neither had succeeded in unifying the world. They did, however, usher in a new information age. Yet technological progress gave rise to countless social conflicts, and global tensions grew ever more acute. Resources, the environment, territory, and faith all became sparks capable of igniting conflict. And so, in 2045, the Third World War broke out.
A great leader was born. Under his leadership, the world was united, and an imperial-democratic federal republic was established, known as the Star Empire. He became known as the King of Heaven and Earth.
The empire was built on centralized authority and adopted a federal system, while also incorporating democracy and socialism to create a more complete global order. The supreme leader became the Divine Emperor, and the position was hereditary. He led humanity into a new civilization and out into the universe.
