Focusing on Marx's early excerpts and notes from Spinoza's "Tractatus Theologiae", this book studies Marx's inheritance and development of Spinoza's philosophy in terms of ideological criticism and political philosophy, explores the ethical value of Marx's communist theory and its positive significance in overcoming value nihilism, and reflects on the contemporary Western radical left's synthesis of Marx and Spinoza and its practical significance.
