"The Silver Age" is a collection of novellas written by contemporary writer Wang Xiaobo. It includes the author's three classic novels: "The Silver Age", "2010" and "2015". The author uses two lines to narrate. One line describes the painter, novelist, and their unusual love who stayed in the police station and was whipped. The other line describes himself as a future historian who made various "mistakes" because he had to follow the principles of governing history. He returned to his original life and identity and became a "normal person" without any desires. These two sets of narratives often intersect and overlap. In the so-called conflict between reality and fiction, the author creates situations that allow for interspersion, irony, ridicule and playful analysis.
This is less a prediction of the future world than a parable of modern life, a dystopian story. Not only is the future world where the protagonist lives not better than the present, but it intensifies the absurdity of modern life.

What a great imagination, I'll go
This book is very interesting and the author has such a rich imagination! I like the description of the future world in the book, it is very creative and thought-provoking. Especially the future historian, whose story impressed me deeply. And the sentence "The world is made of silver" is really a mysterious sentence that keeps me thinking. The characters in the book are very vivid and the plot is very attractive. I recommend you read it!
I really like the free and loose feel of this style
Real life bits and pieces, this society needs works that speak the truth!
