A Dream of Splendor: One Day, I Dreamed of the Past

[Ning'an Like a Dream + Yan Ning + sweet romance] In her previous life, with nowhere left to turn, Jiang Xuening chose to trade her own life for that of Zhang Zhe, the man who had become imprisoned because of her, a noble and untainted gentleman. She repaid his devotion, then took her own life in Ning'an Palace, ending a lifetime spent scheming. Looking back, Jiang Xuening had done everything in her power to finally claim the throne as empress, yet she had wronged the one person who loved her deeply and had always stayed by her side: the young man who rode proudly through life in fine clothes. In this life, Jiang Xuening wants only to live freely and without restraint. All she asks is to be worthy of the young general whose eyes have always been fixed on her. The plot may be changed, and there may be original additions. The fanfiction will share similarities with the drama. If that bothers you, please don't read.
