Random Notes on Hunan Travel

I think the book "Song Notes on a Journey to Hunan" is really great! Shen Congwen's words are natural and simple, making me feel like I am immersed in the beautiful scenery of western Hunan. I especially like the simple and honest Xiangxi people in his works. Their stories make me feel the reality and warmth of life. However, I kind of hate that thief, his behavior is really irritating. Overall, this book is like a pastoral song, which is endlessly memorable.

When they got off the boat in Destiny, I heard a man singing by the river. The voice was soft and sweet, and I knew whose mouth it was sung by and for whom. I stood by the river in the cold wind and ate for a long time, becoming a sailor on a small boat on the river. Ten days have passed since I left my friend in the otter-skin hat and sat alone on this small boat. The front and rear decks of the boat were very narrow, and the three sailors were all thinking about something during the day, either arguing or cursing, or while Jiang Changgao used the power of his arms to move the boat forward in the freezing cold air.

The seemingly random writing style depicts vivid landscape characters, a literary master from a hundred years ago!

The interesting travel notes let people know a lot about the history, customs and customs of western Hunan.

It's pretty good, but I tend to fall asleep while watching it.

I still like Shen Congwen's writing style! Border Town is also very good, but the description of some women in it is not very good, so I recommend skipping it.
