Ning An Ru Meng: The Dreamer Awakens

Fanfiction adaptation.

The story centers on Yan Lin. Later, it splits into two paths: both the corrupted Yan Lin and the uncorrupted young marquis are up for grabs!

About the setting: some changes have been made.

In her past life, except for the time she spent with that dashing young marquis, Jiang Xuening's entire life was consumed by endless schemes.

After the Yan family was massacred, she devoted herself to winning the empress's position and becoming the most powerful woman in the land.

In time, she got her wish. She then schemed to bring Xue Shu into the palace, even persuading Shen Jue to make Xue Shu a Noble Consort.

She then voluntarily handed Xue Shu authority over the six palaces, because her heart was not in the inner court.

She meddled in state affairs and engineered the Duke of Dingguo, Xue Yuan's, demotion by three ranks. Even Shen Jue never held it against her.

Everyone at court called her a wicked empress who had corrupted the government.

She also sent people to infiltrate the Duke of Dingguo's residence and uncover the truth behind the Yan family's framing.

Jiang Xuening: “I've done many wrong things in my life, but there's one I regret more than anything.”

That was...

Jiang Xuening pictured the young Lord Yan and remembered how, when disaster struck the Yan family, she turned Yan Lin away and then married Shen Jue.

But who, besides Jiang Xuening, knew what the young woman had truly felt back then?

When she woke one day, it seemed she had been given another chance to choose.

Was it all just a dream, or had life really given her another chance to choose?
