The Strange, Solitary Immortal

The road to immortality stretches on, with bones strewn across the barren land.

Are those divine generals of the imperial court? Why are they adorned with skulls? Is that a treasure pagoda for subduing demons? Why are human heads used as lanterns?

Heavenly immortals, arhats, and great gods stand between heaven and earth, using all living beings as fuel to seek immortality and indestructibility. Is this what they call the righteous path to becoming golden immortals...?

If so, then I shall begin anew. I will not sacrifice all living beings in blood rituals. I will enter the Dao through demonic arts and prove myself a strange immortal.

Witnessing the cruelty of the world, Wei Renren resolves to change it. After enduring countless trials, life-and-death partings, and seeing through schemes and deceit, he overturns the order of the world and grows stronger at every turn, until he proves himself a strange immortal.
