Who Rules the Tide? A Turbulent Time

Just reading the first few chapters, I was deeply attracted. The foreshadowing is very sufficient and not boring at all. I really can understand the growth and personality of the male protagonist. There are few novels that can depict the male protagonist's fortune-making process in such a detailed and complete manner. It is different from the male protagonist in other novels about the Republic of China. The appearance of the young marshal, the leader of the warlord gang, from the country boy Zhou Liuyang to Mr. Tang Sheng in Shanghai, the male protagonist's growth is very complete, perseverance and self-esteem. Such a perfect person with personality charm and sexual charm can only be justified by Bai Yueguang, who was infatuated with him as a child. However, I feel that the heroine's character is not mature enough and complex when she grows up, and I don't see any special shining points. As Qin Yishu said, it may also be because the hero's image is too complete and plump, making the heroine a bit weak. Generally speaking, there is nothing sad about falling in love, which makes the love line less attractive after the showdown between the two. The career line of the male protagonist is a very, very good part of the novel. In addition, I really like the part at the beginning where the male and female protagonists were young. It is an important foreshadowing of the whole novel. You must read it patiently. It makes people very curious about the future development. I really want to find a similar story where the male protagonist grows from a poor boy to a big shot through training.
