Shen Ruomeng, a college student majoring in human geography, has been summoned by the strange dreams she's had since childhood to Fuxian Lake. After accidentally falling into the water, she transmigrates to Yuyuan City in Yizhou Commandery, in southwest Dian during the reign of the Dian King, and becomes the daughter of Shen Wang, the commandery's garrison commandant.
Kindhearted by nature, she once went out to admire the lanterns on the Lantern Festival and found a pitiful little beggar being beaten on the street. She took him home and named him Fusheng. They grew up together as childhood sweethearts, growing deeply attached to each other. In the second year after she came of age, she married Fusheng.
Then the emperor died, a young emperor took the throne, and several minority tribes rebelled. Most of the Shen family men died on the battlefield, leaving the family in ruins. Only then was Fusheng's true identity revealed: he was actually an undercover agent planted in the Shen household by the rebellious Guceng tribe.
So, was he involved in the destruction of the Shen family? And what will become of their relationship?
