When Jing Lan first appeared before Sheng Yu'an in the System, he was a strange man who looked half dead.
His complexion was sickly pale, his frame thin. He looked as if he could barely care for himself, good looks and the ability to eat being his only redeeming qualities.
Only later did Sheng Yu'an learn that he was like this because he was sick. He was chased around the System all day by this ghost and that ghost. Just surviving was an achievement. What was wrong with being frail and sickly? And if he couldn't look after himself, Sheng Yu'an could take care of him.
