In 1127 AD, the Jingkang Rebellion occurred in the Northern Song Dynasty. The two Huiqin sects were taken captive to the North by the Jin people, and the Northern Song Dynasty was destroyed. The Qinling Mountains and the land north of the Huaihe River were all occupied by the Jin people. Kang Wang Zhao Gou proclaimed himself emperor in Lin'an and established the Southern Song Dynasty, with only half of the country. The Jin people wanted to completely destroy the Song Dynasty. After their attempt to cross the Huaihe River and occupy the south of the Yangtze River was shattered, they changed their strategy and planned to occupy Bashu and then go down the Yangtze River to occupy the south of the Yangtze River. Unexpectedly, they were blocked by the famous Southern Song generals Wu Jie and Wu Lin brothers and their sons Wu Gong and Wu Ting who were stationed in Shaanxi and Gansu for decades. They finally failed to enter Bashu and made great contributions to the survival of the Southern Song Dynasty. This book tells the touching story of three generations of Wu family heroes who fought against the Jin soldiers during this period.
