Reshaping the Century

(World mythology + mythological clash + sages of the human race + invasion by foreign enemies!)

(Not invincible + no System + no golden finger + no female lead, with clear logic and coherent storytelling.)

The gods are destroying the world, and foreign enemies are invading. What will become of the gods and humanity?

Human civilization is on the verge of ending, and the force bringing this blue planet to its end isn’t nuclear war or an alien invasion. It’s the gods. Yes, the gods!

By the year 3000, technology had advanced so far that humanity no longer believed in the gods, instead placing its faith in frail bodies and the supremacy of technology. As humanity’s faith waned, so did the power the gods drew from it, and disaster was about to befall mankind. I was one of the billions who witnessed it: an insignificant river god in Huaxia, the god of the Wushui River.

The gods are going to destroy humanity and create new species. They might be fish people, bird people, or insect people, but they won’t be human. Humanity’s greed, selfishness, hypocrisy, and all its other dark sides have become unbearable to the gods. And now, people have even forgotten their creators: the gods!
