When I read Panlong, I used to fantasize about becoming the supreme patriarch of a domain in its world. Since I was in a reading slump, I figured I'd try writing a story using the Panlong setting, with myself as a domain's patriarch. I'd been wanting to write something like that anyway.
A man from Blue Star transmigrates into the Panlong world, to the Kara Mountains in Hell. The frogfolk live here, and Xiao Ke arrives as a transmigrator, becoming the Golden Swallowing Toad, the frogfolk's Grand Elder. Countless frogfolk live here, along with the Kara clan. This is the lowest level of Hell, and Xiao Ke arrives here as their Grand Elder, awakening the Patriarch System. Thus begins Xiao Ke's legendary life as a frog. Even a toad can aspire to swallow the heavens and dare to rise above all others.
