Analysis of Storage Technology Principles: Based on Linux 2.6 Kernel Source Code

This book discusses the intrinsic implementation principles of storage technology in detail through the analysis of the Linux 2.6 Kernel source code. It is divided into three main lines: explaining the discovery process of PCI devices, SCSI devices and block devices; tracing the storage I/O path, that is, how the user's read/write request for a file passes through the various intermediate levels and finally reaches the disk media; in addition, it also briefly introduces the programming framework such as host adapter, block device driver and file system.
