Gu Yicheng is a terrible student. His father forces him to enroll in one of the city’s top schools, and he only goes along with it to keep his family happy. Shi Yichen earns his place through hard work. The two first meet on a bus. Later, when school starts and students are assigned to classes, they end up in the same class and become deskmates. Gu Yicheng keeps pestering Shi Yichen, who gradually comes to accept him. With Shi Yichen’s guidance, Gu Yicheng’s studies begin to improve. But no one believes he can change, and he falls back into his old ways. In the end, though, he and Shi Yichen both get into the same school, stunning everyone. They also bring warmth into each other’s lives...
