The Afterglow of Jiang Ye

That year, the wind howled and snow fell heavily. One person stood in front of another child and promised to protect him for the rest of his life.

He believed him.

In the years that followed, he looked forward to seeing him, yet worried about it too.

Thankfully, they were each other’s untouchable moonlight.

“Our parents’ word, and the matchmaker’s arrangement.”

“When they both agreed to us being together, we were able to be together openly and honorably.”

“We no longer had to sneak around, afraid they’d find out, even though they already knew how we felt about each other.”

“But I still want to give you a title.”

“I want everyone else to know that Yu Ye is my boyfriend. I want them to stop pining after you.”

“Of course, I’ll also uphold the virtues of a good boyfriend and never become a burden to you.”

When they joined the team officially arranged by the game Seeking the Light, they could hardly wait to announce their relationship to the whole world.

Their fans congratulated them.

Their rivals congratulated them.

But in the end, none of that could overcome illness.

Jiang Ye went abroad for treatment and was gone for many years.

When they met again, they held each other in a tight embrace.

“Long time no see, little shadow.”

“Long time no see, A Ye.”

“We’ll stay together forever and ever.”
