The Emperor of Heaven sent the God of Fire Zhu Rong to fight against Gong Gong. Zhu Rong abused his divine power and burned the three realms. Gong Gong was defeated and humiliated. He crashed into Buzhou Mountain, which supports the heaven and earth. The divine pillar broke, a hole was pierced in the sky, floods flooded, wild beasts raged, and the people suffered. The Emperor of Heaven was furious and cut off Gonggong Zhurong's priesthood, demoted him to the two dragons of water and fire, and exiled him to the Minjiang River to think about his mistakes. After Erlong arrived at the Minjiang River, he did not know how to protect the living beings and benefit the area. Instead, he did not want to repent and made trouble. Drought and floods continued in the Bashu area.
In 256 BC, King Zhao of Qin appointed Li Bing, the Minister of Water Affairs, as the prefect of Shu County and went to Chengdu to control floods. After Li Bing arrived in Shu County, he inspected the people's conditions, dredged the river, and prepared to build Dujiangyan to completely solve the Minjiang River waterlogging disaster. However, the two dragons obstructed it and blocked it in every possible way. Li Bing had no choice but to declare war with Erlong and was seriously injured.
Li Bing's son, Li Erlang, was captured for playing with Fenghuang and joined Fenghuang's sect to practice martial arts. Because his father's construction of the Dujiangyan weir was blocked, he was ordered by his master to go out to help. After Erlang arrived in Chengdu, he traveled thousands of miles to search for medicine to save his father's life. He fought hard against Erlong and was surrounded by dangers. The roaring dog died and his sworn brother died tragically, triggering a melee between the Dragon and Phoenix families. After many hardships, he finally surrendered to Erlongsuo in Fengqiwo. Erlang assisted his father in building the Dujiangyan Irrigation System, which completely solved the Minjiang River floods and benefited the people of Bashu.
The Emperor of Houtian sent a spiritual officer to inspect the Shu County. In gratitude for Erlang's contribution in helping his father build Dujiangyan to benefit the people, he named Erlang the True Lord of Qingyuan Miaodao and established the permanent town at the mouth of the Guanjiang River.
