An Intern Diplomat Is Sent to a Foreign Ally’s Imperial Palace

[Female diplomat x heir to the throne of a modern monarchy]

1. Zhao Xinzhui, a young woman from Huaguo, has a simple dream:

Pass her internship assessment, secure a stable government job, and become a full-time employee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Then one day, for a completely ridiculous reason, she ends up living in the royal palace of Yichen.

That’s when she realizes this is anything but simple.

Because the palace is home to Bo Yingzhan, the royal grandson of Yichen, whose horoscope clashes with hers.

Before she enters the palace, her superior tells her with a stern expression: Building a good relationship with the royal family of a friendly nation is part of her KPIs and will count toward her internship assessment.

2. Yichen is a modern monarchy, part of the Huaguo cultural sphere, and still adheres to traditional etiquette in the twenty-first century.

Zhao Xinzhui sums up this friendly nation in four words: feudal remnants.

3. She barges into Bo Yingzhan’s life like a female knight.

But Zhao Xinzhui, a complete novice when it comes to romance, seems to see him only as a target to check off her KPI list??

4. Zhao Xinzhui doesn’t know that from the moment she set foot in Yichen, an unseen hand drew her into the struggle for the throne.

It was all planned.

5. Their different statuses mean they are destined to be apart.

For her, he is willing to risk everything.

But she sees him as a bargaining chip to secure benefits for Huaguo, and callously buries her feelings.

6. Many years later, she has grown into a diplomat representing a great power.

He visits Huaguo, and the two meet again at the summit.

That day, so he could meet her again, he shook hands with everyone there.
