A newly appointed first-rank civil official’s legitimate daughter: fifteen years in the inner quarters, then a slaughter in the imperial harem
(A life as a noble family’s legitimate daughter + extraordinary talent, beauty, and cunning + no forced stupidity for the supporting cast + an inspiring portrayal of real aristocratic power struggles)
In the Kingdom of Xuanwu, the emperor dies, and the second prince, Chu Ying, inherits the throne as the kingdom’s second ruler. The former crown prince is stripped of his title and imprisoned for colluding with court factions and abusing his power for personal gain. The Crown Princess of the Eastern Palace, Yelü Shangqian, a princess originally sent from the Western Regions to cement an alliance between the two countries, is pardoned for the sake of diplomatic relations. She moves into the imperial palace and is given the title of Lady Yuan, a rank equal to that of a crown princess or a retired empress. After Chu Ying succeeds to the throne, Fang Nianche is promoted to first-rank general, and Yao Ji is promoted to first-rank civil official.
After ascending the throne, Chu Ying issues an edict observing mourning for the late emperor. The coronation ceremony will be held the following year.
The following year, the era name is changed to Zhaohe.
In the first year of Zhaohe, the emperor and empress hold their enthronement ceremony.

The plot of the story is novel, but the heroine, a noble lady, also has her own ideas and opinions, and she is a bit young, frivolous, ignorant and can change her mistakes. It's rare to find a heroine who is neither a reincarnation nor a time-travel novel, but a bit of a black lotus. In the plot I have seen so far, I have not found out who the male protagonist or the female protagonist likes. It is considered the eldest heroine, clean and tidy. This is a unit drama, and I am still looking forward to the subsequent plot. I can vaguely see several hidden lines written by the author.
