Realm Beyond the Self

Xianxia + tragic romance + past and present lives + palace intrigue and political schemes + mystery

She was the origin of the universe and the most exalted god in existence, yet she was born into the mortal world. He was born for her, yet could never understand her ties to all living things.

She watched the mortal world she loved most disappear with her own eyes, while he took her back to the divine realm at any cost. Only when she first saw the inscription on the gate to the divine realm did she understand: it had all been destined. Memory was a god’s punishment.

From then on, she exiled herself, while he became a god or a demon for her sake, plotting for an entire lifetime. He said to her:

“If you’re willing to stay in the divine realm forever, I’ll be with you until the end of time.”

“If you want to return to the mortal world, I’ll follow you for lifetime after lifetime.”

“If you want to cross through time and space, I’ll accompany you to every corner of this universe.”

“All I want... is for you to be here!”

And she said, “I refuse!”

From then on, she entered a state of selflessness, without love, hate, joy, resentment, worry, or enmity...

She would keep only seven days of memories, reliving them day after day until she forgot everything: him, and the mortal world...

(The tags got messed up for some reason. Feel free to suggest anything about the plot. The main thing is, I write whatever I feel like, whether it’s palace intrigue, political schemes, fantasy... I’ll write whatever you can imagine, and plenty you can’t. If you guess what happens next, I lose (˵¯͒〰¯͒˵))
