The Fairy Who Tends Her Fields

Bai Zhi, a little fairy beloved in the God of Wealth's temple, is banished to the mortal world for sneaking a bowl of pork trotter rice.

After mistakenly drinking watered-down Granny Meng's soup, Bai Zhi is born into a farming family and spends eighteen years in a simple-minded state.

When she suddenly awakens, her memories of the heavenly realm return. But with nothing to her name, how is she supposed to ascend back to heaven?

Bai Zhi kneels in the God of Wealth's temple, weeping inconsolably. "This humble one knows she was wrong. From now on, she'll devote herself to diligent cultivation!"

What she doesn't know is that the God of Wealth has already traveled thousands of miles away to a foreign land, giving away money and collecting offerings.

The passing Matchmaker takes pity on her and points her toward a clear path to ascension:

First, earn one hundred thousand silver taels to offer to the God of Wealth. He can then smooth things over for her.

Second, begin cultivating your vital energy, do good deeds, and collect one hundred beads of merit. Then you can ascend as a Celestial Immortal and gain the right to take the preliminary examination for returning to heaven.

Third, find a distinguished man who descended to the mortal realm to undergo tribulation on the same day as you. Experience a love tribulation and collect the tears of your beloved. The Matchmaker can then help you qualify for the final examination.

Bai Zhi happily wipes away her tears and vows to work hard for the great cause of returning to heaven!

What's there to fear about having an empty home? Little Zhi has two hardworking hands!

What's there to fear about being surrounded by villains? Little Zhi has a clever mind!

What's there to fear about famine and unrest? Little Zhi has divine powers, and the flowers, grasses, birds, and beasts across the land are all her weapons!

Making money is easy, but saving it is hard.

Do one good deed a day, earn merit, and watch all your money disappear.

Again and again, it's hard, but she'll keep trying!

But that fated man who underwent tribulation on the same day as me, where in the world are you?
