The Rise and Fall of Commercial Towns: Hongjiang's Commercial History and Regional Social Construction

This book is very interesting! Teacher Wu Xiaomei vividly demonstrated the rise and fall of Hongjiang Commercial Town through in-depth investigation and interpretation of local documents. It felt like I traveled back in time and saw the hard work and struggle of those foreign merchants. I especially like the descriptions of people in different historical periods in the book, who give "Hongjiang" different meanings. However, I kind of hate the characters who destroy the business environment, and I hope they get the lesson they deserve in the book. Overall, this is a good book worth reading. Teacher Wu Xiaomei's research is very valuable!
