Si Ying nearly perished, but a rift caused by her own magic sent her tumbling into the world of Mysterious Lotus Casebook. After the local Heavenly Dao explained the situation, she was thoroughly unimpressed.
“Useless. You can't even handle something this trivial. What's in it for me if I help you?”
Heavenly Dao: ...
“Big Sister Si Ying, want to slaughter your way across the world and claim dominion over it? You might even get a chance to return home someday.”
Going by the Demoness's track record, she's clearly career-driven. Perfect, then: I'll hitch a ride and level up.
“Very well, you little pest. I'll do it.”
Si Ying never expected that this trip would ensnare her too. Her longtime partner, Jing Mie, also found himself falling hard and couldn't escape.
