[Lighthearted and humorous + no System + slight changes to the original + an unconventional old-timer]
Xiao Xuan is a passionate young man who loves reading web novels. After an accident transmigrates him into the Battle Through the Heavens World, he is ready to make his mark, only to discover, to his dismay, that he's just a soul residing inside a ring.
With no other choice, he changes tactics and pretends to be an ancestor of the Xiao Clan, asking the ring's owner, Xiao Zhan, to help him rebuild his body so that one day he can travel the continent himself and take in the sights of this strange world.
To that end, he and the original protagonist's father set off on one journey after another.
“My god, that old bastard Ge Ye is being so obnoxious, and you can still put up with it? Are you even a man? If you are, then listen to me and take the initiative to break off your son's engagement!”
“You've disgraced the entire Xiao Clan! They're already insulting your late wife, and you still put up with it? Why not just be a coward and get it over with? He's just a low-level Dou Wang from some remote region. What are you afraid of? Do you think he's some prodigy like your son, who can fight above his level in the blink of an eye?”
“Seriously, you're already a Dou Zun and you're still afraid of the Misty Cloud Sect? Think of it as backing your son up for his three-year agreement. Charge in and fight! If anyone from the Soul Hall gets in the way, wipe them all out!”
With Xiao Xuan's earnest persuasion, Xiao Zhan also begins to grow, unlike his original portrayal.
At the same time, from Xiao Zhan's perspective, Xiao Xuan sees a different side of the Battle Through the Heavens Continent.
